This 100Hz HDTV isn’t 3D like OHKI’s $700 42-inch deal, but does have full 1080p resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio, and three HDMI ports. I haven’t tested the picture quality, but aesthetically, the piano black finish and glass stand appear suitably sleek. Aldi says the set is $200 cheaper than last year and includes a 2 year warranty. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 1:56 PMdoes that energy rating say 572? thought this was a led. lol

Thursday, July 21, 2011 at 2:02 PMLED’s can get into the 400s with the energy rating… but 572 is still quite good.
I am very tempted!

Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 PMHello Everyone,
Because the sale is on Thursday 28th should you be early like when the store opens? Or is their enough stock for buying in the afternoon? because I work so I may not have time in the morning.
Also if you call them on the day can they mind one for you till you get their if its in that day?
Cheers
Sam
Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 10:03 PMDude, general rule of thumb is first in best dressed. From what I’ve heard, in some cases you’re best off being there when the story opens on first day of the sale period, but of course this might vary depending how busy your local store is.

Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 10:23 PMI left it until the weekend (that’s two whole days) before I went to see if they had the sets available… and they still did have about 4 left! I don’t know how many there were at the start of Thursday… but seeing I was there and it was there, I figured it was meant to be! LOL
The start-up time feels pretty slow, but I’m generally happy with the contrast ratio and response times. There’s been a two times that I’ve noticed pixelation so that’s a bit of a worry (still have about 2-3 weeks to return it if I want to) and electronic program guide layout could be better, as well as the rate of update of the digital channel’s information! But for $600 at 119cm length, these are some of the compromises I sort of expect for the price I paid. *95% happy so far*

Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 2:40 PMMost likely by 8:30am there already will be a queue longer than the number of tvs in the store. I heard, stores usually have around 8 tvs. Maybe I should be there by 8….

Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 12:54 PMMates!
The Sale was awesome. I never enticipated such a long queue. I was the first one there and by 9am all TVs vanished. I was flabbergasted. This is a sale.
Cheers!

Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1:22 PMGot mine yesterday in Arndell Park. Even though I showed up at 7:40am, there were already few folks waiting, by 8:30am the queue was over 20 ppl. The store had 50 of them, so after first 30 were grabbed quickly (some bought 2 or 3), the rest was just sitting there. Brought it home, great quality! If you need one and still have one in your stores, just go and get it for such a bargain!

Friday, July 29, 2011 at 1:24 PMYes the sale was awesome. I was 7th in line of about 20 people. The doors opened at 9am and the people rushed in. Some didn’t know exactly where the TVs were unlike me, I headed straight there. There were only 3 on the pallet but more in the store room. I think the store had 15 in total. Got it home, it was very easy to attach the stand and configure the TV. Picture quality is great, as would be seen in a $1000 plus TV. Plays back many formats via the USB. Haven’t tried recording yet. Great buy!

Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 3:11 PMTHEY ARE CRAP, I’V HAD ONE, IT BROKE, WENT THROUGH HELL TRYING TO GET IT REPAIRED, NOW GETTING ANOTHER ONE. ALL THIS HAS TAKEN 7 WEEKS, STILL WAITING ON REPLACEMENT. PURCHASED IN THE MEANTIME A TOSHIBA, WHAT A NICE CHANGE IT WORKS. ALSO THEY ARE NOT 100HZ, LOOK ON THE BACK…..SEE 50 HZ RATING, WHAT ELSE R THEY NOT TELLING US.

Monday, December 26, 2011 at 3:18 PM240 Volts and 50 HZ is the power supply in Australia, if it says 50HZ on the back it’s probably talking about the power to the TV. 100HZ is the picture refresh rate, it has nothing to do with the power supply. HZ is Hertz which is a term that means “times per Second”
