The Milky Way is huge compared to our sun, just one more speck of dust of the 400 billion stars in it. But, at 100,000 light years across, it’s tiny compared to other galaxies in the universe.
Quite frankly, I see these videos and all I want is to send everything to hell and go live in an island fishing and surfing all day. [Thanks Oscar!]

Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 3:25 PMWhen you see how many other stars and solar systems are out there I have no doubt that there there are other life forms in the universe. But when you see how immense these distances are it makes you wonder whether we’d ever be able to reach them, or whether they’d be able to reach us.
Even traveling at the speed of light would be impractically slow to explore even our own measly little galaxy.
