Some may see despair when they look upon a double amputee in a wheelchair, but Spanish Surgeon Pedro Cavadas saw an opportunity.

Cavadas and a team of doctors at La Fe hospital in Valencia performed the world’s first double leg transplant on this unidentified amputee.
