Conceptualized and designed by two guys with too much time and money, Dr Chandrashekhar Chawan and Sanjay Shah, the contact lenses are adorned with 18 diamonds on a gold plate set 6-9mm from the cornea. The diamond contacts are limited to 3996 pairs and will cost $US15,000. It’s as if someone saw the Swarovski crystal contacts and thought those weren’t extravagantly dumb enough. Diamonds are pretty sharp, people. [Born Rich]

Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 1:12 PMi’m not so sure if i entirely agree with casey. Diamond sure is hard, but sharp???? even the most pointy part of a diamond, the cutlet, i doubt that is sharp at all. some diamonds comes without cutlet or rounded off cutlet.
