Clip-On Necktie Fan Almost As Bad As Clip-On Neckties

This is a USB-powered personal fan that hooks onto your necktie – you know, in case you were looking to stay cool and not get laid this summer.

The 28g Tie USB Cooler is sold by Japanese accessory maker, Thanko. It clips to the backside of your tie and is designed to push a steady stream of air through the button gaps of your shirt. Just plug it into any available USB port for power, or use the included battery pack to stay frosty (and un-sexed) while mobile. Unfortunately, it’s only available in Japan and retails for about $US35. [Thanko via The Washington Post]

This is going to go horribly wrong when the person is distracted by a colleague and quickly gets up from the computer.

    1) Yanks the USB cord out, colleague asks why your shirt is attached to the computer…
    2) USB doesn’t come out due to pulling angle and the keyboard/tower ends up on the floor.
    3) Shirt gets ripped, which is worse if you’re a woman and in being so some people will try to get you on purpose.
