You Might Need A Snow Leopard Disc To Do A Clean Install Of Lion

OS X Lion’s only available through the Mac App Store. But without a DeeVeeDee, how are obsessive nerds supposed to do a clean install? Reinstall Snow Leopaard [sic] , says the latest purported Steve Jobs email. Potentially annoying, if true. [MacRumors]

“Reinstall Snow Leopaard” immediately made me think of Star Wars clones (e.g. Luuke Skywalker, Joruus C’baoth)… I think I’ve had too much Expanded Universe.

This also highlights the fact that Lion is NOT an OS. It’s a Service Pack. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to pay 20 bucks or whatever for it, but it’s still a Service Pack.

Isn’t it great how saying ‘no it’s not’ makes something true?
