What Do You Want To Hear From WWDC/E3 This Week?

Gizmodo AU

This week is a huge one for upcoming gadget and gaming news. Both Apple and the games industry are holding massive, news breaking events where dreams can be made or shattered in a matter of seconds. We’ve already told you what we think you can expect to see this week, but now we want you to tell us what you actually want to hear?

Personally, from WWDC I’m pretty excited by the rumours surrounding iCloud. Mostly I’m interested in finding out how accessing content through a 3G connection will be managed, but also the concept of ditching iTunes as my file management software. I’m also keen for any news on the iPhone 5 (despite the rumours, I still think Apple will bring it up).

On the games front out of E3, I’m looking forward to seeing what Project Cafe from Nintendo actually offers – I’m not convinced on a controller with a screen, but I’m not prepared to write it off either. Also of interest are any news on Kinect games (that aren’t of the party variety), FIFA 12 (it’s been a while since I bought a FIFA game, but this one looks pretty swish) and the next installment of Assassin’s Creed.

Of course, that’s just surface level stuff. I’m sure I’ll find plenty of other exciting news as it happens over the next few days. But while we eait, why don’t you guys tell me what you’re most excited to see?

First off WWDC. The iCloud sounds interesting. My hope is as most have said before a way to sync all your iOS devices and your Mac with out the use of iTunes. I too am slightly concerned about 3G data and if it will be a way to sync or sync and stream.

iOS5 I think we will see widgets finally come into the lock screen.

Time machine will be re branded as iCloud. Time capsule will be discontinued as we will be able to back up to the cloud.

iTunes will still be around as not all iPods have a 3G/wifi connection.

We will see more of Lion . In fact I’m betting Apple will show us things we have not seen in Lion. We will get a release date of November.

We will see the iPhone 5 how ever a release date will not happen till September.

Now to E3. Microsoft will do a even stronger push towards Kinect. Most A+ games will now come with Kinect support. No new 360 will be announced.

Sony will be the huge ass kisses this year after what has happened with the PSN hack. We will see the standard line of demos and previews and a huge push towards the move. No new Playstation will be announced. How ever the will announce release date of the NGP.

Kinect Games! That’s all I want to hear about. I have a massive fear of the Kinect going down the same path of the Wii. Great novelty factor, fun little party games but nothing else. Bring on the A+ titles with Kinect features.

The Kinect head-tracking for Forza 4 looked awesome.
