These Glasses Were Made With Human Hair

I can’t grow much facial hair so I’ve been compensating by growing my hair long. That’ll show off my manliness! I should get these glasses to complete my look: the frames are made with human hair bound with resin.

Designed by Azusa Murakami and Alexander Groves, the hair and resin combo on these glasses actually look awesome. There’s a wood-like finish to them and if no loose hair ever comes poking my eye, I’ll gladly put them on. The idea behind them was to re-imagine human hair as a renewable resource. What’d really be awesome was if I could send in my own hair and have them repurpose it as glasses. [Studio Swine via Dezeen]

Human hair as a renewable resource is not what nature intended. Next week they’ll be throwing people in the swamp a la Waterworld.
