You already know most of the details about the next PSP. But now we know its name: the PlayStation Vita.
The Wi-Fi model’s gonna be $250, while the 3G model’s gonna be $US300. AT&T is the exclusive carrier of the 3G model of the Vita in the US. Wow. No. Wow. Wow. No word on the data pricing at the moment.
There’s a new “social connection tool” called Near which lets you play and recommend titles to people around you, kind of like Nintendo 3DS’s StreetPass.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 12:34 PMHmm, after watching the E3 conference, I’m actually pretty excited about this now. It’s a shame that it will probably cost around $400 here in Australia. I’d be more than happy to pay $250 for the wifi version.
They didn’t discuss how the games would work, are they on physical media or downloadable only?

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 1:26 PMIt does look cool but I was surprised the European version is 250 EUROS even though the euro blitzes the USD. We’re going to be ripped off down here again, no doubt about it.

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2:22 PMGeeez… I don’t need one but for AU$250 I would probably have caved in. I’m much more resistant to $299+

Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2:56 PMThe irony is I keep reading it as P Vista (I’m guessing Sony do not want to be assoicated with Microsoft Vista)

Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 8:52 PMYeah, not sure if I’m willing to fork out $400 for this thing, even though it looks awesome, I’d probably just wait until the price drops. Still., can’t wait for it to be released :D!
