Osama Bin Laden Killing Is Being Turned Into A Graphic Novel

As if war dogs and night vision contact lenses weren’t enough, the killing of Osama bin Laden is going to be stylised in a wannabe Frank Miller-style art. It’ll focus on SEAL Team 6 and take some liberties with fiction.

The graphic novel, called Code Word: Geronimo, was written by retired Marine Capt. Dale Dye and his wife, Julia. Dye had actually been a consultant for Saving Private Ryan so he knows his ways around the theatric. In order to create the story, they combed through media reports, operation reports and interviewed a few people in special ops but as they say, there’s quite a lot of SWAG, “scientific wild-ass guesses”, in the graphic novel. It’s supposed to come out in September. [IDW Publishing via Washington Post]

They won’t be able to mention ‘Seal Team 6′ in the graphic novel because Disney trademarked it.
