The release, entitled “Chinga La Migra” (Fuck the Border Police) is the first time LulzSec’s purported to release personal information of government agents, rather than just disrupting their websites (see: CIA, US Senate). This is a powerful move. Home addresses are home addresses – about as personal as personal data gets. LulzSec’s also clearly placed a political motive behind this thrust, as opposed to the HACK HACK LMAO ethos we’ve seen before.
And LulzSec says this is just the start:
Every week we plan on releasing more classified documents and embarassing [sic]personal details of military and law enforcement in an effort not just to reveal
their racist and corrupt nature but to purposefully sabotage their efforts to terrorize communities fighting an unjust “war on drugs”.
A politically radicalised LulzSec is a big step away from the crew that was pissed off about video games. [LulzSecurity]

Friday, June 24, 2011 at 4:29 PMYes.. Vigilante justice eh? So attacking the individuals who are just doing the jobs enforcing the bad policies made by the officials?
Shouldn’t their target be the officials then?

Friday, June 24, 2011 at 8:47 PMIf they disagree with what they’re doing they could leave their jobs. Lots of people have done it before. People quit the military, police, teachers, doctors, retail, sales people basically any job a few people have been disgusted by 1 policy or another and have made their stand by leaving said job. Don’t get me wrong it is hard when you got a family and kids but it has been done before.
But each to his own. Personally I don’t have a problem with this sort of release of info “if” it is true about specific racial profiling and basically under-handed racist tactics.

Friday, June 24, 2011 at 5:51 PMPolice are robots, they chose to shame themselves and give up their humanhood by joining the police, their job consists of doing what they are told regardless of potential implications, and vocally regurgitate the code that was programmed into them at the academy.
They have no sympathy from me.
