This means the usual cues – home, menu, back and search – will be done purely in Android, which makes sense. Personally, the only soft-touch button I use on my phone is the “home” button. BGR has posted an alluring amount of detail about this Nexus 4G phone, saying it’s running on an OMAP 4460 or low-power 28nm Krait-based Snapdragon processor, and has 1GB of RAM.
On the outside, the 1080p-shooting backwards-facing camera is “just” 5MP with an “advanced” sensor, and the forward-facing one is looking to be a 1MP effort.
The real show-stopper here is that it could be the reference Ice Cream Sandwich phone, as Google likes to work closely with different manufacturers for a new flagship with every updated Android version. Don’t go cutting your contract early to pick this one up though, as it’s not said to be available to us mere mortals until November. [BGR]

Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10:57 AMMy thoughts exactly. I’ve go a galaxy s, and use the three buttons on that pretty often (back, menu, home).
I can’t understand android phones with a search button.

Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 12:10 PMIf they release it end of year like all the other Nexus line-up, dual core will be 12 months old already. Quads will be out and about.
Google have to get out of the habit of releasing 12 months old hardware and get ahead of the game.
And only 720p? I mean WTF?

Monday, June 20, 2011 at 9:22 PMI agree that it would seem strange for them not to go with the Nvidia Kal-El processor (though they still might).
But I have to pull you up on the 720p thing…
720p on a 4 or 4.5 inch display is awesome! It will be industry leading (yes, even better than iphone 4).
Looking forward to some actual specs!!

Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 1:00 PMA 720p camera with a good sensor and 60fps sh#ts all over 1080i/30p. Dual core 1.5GHz would still be an excellent performer too…

Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 7:14 PMCrap camera, and we have 1GB ram right now. But I guess it’s not intended to be a high end phone.

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 12:07 PMSome people are confusing the 720p with the camera. People, the 720p is going to be the resolution of the screen and not the camera picture taking ability. For heavens sake read the darn article atleast.
