Hoyts and Sony Gear Up For 3D Wimbledon Final

Gizmodo AU

Personally, I find tennis and the current state of 3D to be about equal in terms of underwhelming wow factor. But if you’re a die-hard fan of both, you’ll be able to watch the men’s final at selected cinemas in Brisbane (Stafford), Sydney (Broadway) and Central Melbourne.

Sony, through its official supplier partnership with The All England Lawn Tennis Club, is bringing Wimbledon in 3D to suitably equipped cinemas around the world, offering the perfect opportunity for fans to experience the Championships like never before in a completely new environment, while retaining all the excitement and atmosphere of the famous Centre Court.

Tickets go on sale today for the match/screening on July 3. You can then pick them up after 4:30pm today at: [Hoyts]

Why not show it on TV in 3D? What’s the use of having 3D tv if there’s nothing to watch?
