The leaked text/feature, since removed from view by Apple, appeared in the app update section when a MacRumors reader went to update their library. Added to then usual scrawl was this new line:
Or if your device has Automatic Download enabled for apps, your updates will download to your device without having to sync.
The leak also hinted that a sync-less update option could be available for other iOS items outside of just apps. That this development throws further fuel on over-the-air update rumours and wireless syncing is an understatement, especially given Apple’s hasty response in getting the leak patched up and removed.
Whatever the case may be, we’ll certainly know exactly hat’s planned in iOS 5 on Monday at WWDC. [MacRumors]
