Are You Feeling Lucky, Punk? Dirty DaVinci’s Ancient Machine Gun Blasts From The Past

This triple-barrelled, bronze cannon was first unearthed 40 years ago by Croatian schoolchildren. Since then, there has been speculation that it might be one of Leonardo DaVinci’s much sought-after primitive machine guns. The speculation is over. It’s been confirmed.

    “machine gun” just because it had more than one barrel. No, that doesn’t work. Guns are only “machine guns” when they automatically load, prime, fire, over and over at a constant rate. Back then all that had to be done by hand and I’ll bet anything that these are only muzzle loading cannons. Multibarrel weapons aren’t even unique, this is no feather in DaVinci’s cap… maybe it had a clever delayed or sequential fuse system? That’d probably be the extent of any innovation here.
