Apple Probably Can’t Make Amazon Stop Saying ‘Appstore’

Apple’s been trying to stop Amazon’s use of “Appstore” since its inception. Unfortunately for them, the federal judge presiding over the case said that Apple’s difficulty in presenting evidence of customer confusion will likely lead to her denying the motion

Really the only confusing aspect of all this is how Apple could possibly believe they own the rights to the words “App Store”. That would be like Walmart trying to trademark “mart”. [Business Week] .

They want to legitimise their insulting ad with an insulting lawsuit. If you don’t have an iPhone then you don’t have the app store.

    Douchebaggery at it’s finest.

Personally I’ve given up eating fruits of the malus domestica, for fear of being sued.

Apple seem to be reverting to their previous inane litigious bullying tactics. Soon they’ll say we can’t say ‘I’ as it infringes a copyright. And if we say “we” Nontendo will sue. Me sure hope ‘me’ wont get me in manure!
