Optus Customers Will Soon Earn Qantas Frequent Flyer Points

Gizmodo AU

Earning frequent flyer points is more addictive than crack. Once you start really trying to collect them, you can’t stop, searching out all possible ways to maximise your points status. Which means Qantas Frequent Flyers will probably start shifting to Optus soon, with the Telco today announcing a partnership with the airline’s rewards program.

Set to launch in the second half of the year, the alliance with Qantas will be integrated into Optus’ current rewards system:

The alliance with Qantas Frequent Flyer will see Optus take its existing rewards portfolio — which includes Recharge and Always Win, Movie Rewards, bundling discounts and handset and tenure rewards — to the next level, by adding a leading points-based loyalty program that allows customers to choose how they want to be rewarded.

In addition to earning Qantas frequent flyer points for using Optus services, Qantas will also start offering Optus products and services as part of its own redemption offers.

Although it’s not set to launch until later this year, Optus customers can register their interest now through Optus’ website.

i could go to Optus for a few $$ earned…but then i would spend heaps of $$ of a bad network connection – ill stay with Telstra for now, as they have really cheap plans and the best service (with out any bribes)
