Kodachrome Movie Still Going Ahead, But At 20th Century Fox

DreamWorks was the studio first interested in the script about the dead Kodachrome film, but as it turns out, the director of the movie has a contract with Fox that means they must get a first look at any scripts he takes on.

Apparently they did have a peek and initially passed, so that’s why he went to DreamWorks, who loved it. But when Fox heard of the deal, they threw a strop and decided that actually, yes, they did want to make the movie. And because I watch Entourage, I’m guessing a lot of angry phone calls were made, along with hours spent at the bar. [Variety via PetaPixel]
