Grand Moff Tarkin Looks Amazing In 2011

Gizmodo AU

When Kotaku posted these pics from 2011 of Stars Wars villain Grand Moff Tarkin with the headline “You Will Not Believe These Star Wars Pictures Are Real”, I believed them. So lifelike, so realistic, despite the fact that Peter Cushing, who played Tarkin in A New Hope, died in 1994. So how were these pics taken?

It turns out that Tarkin is actually an über-lifelike sculpture, created by artist Jordu Schell. Made from silicone with glass eyes and hand-punched hair follicles, the sculpture is so detailed you can actually see every crease and every spot on Tarkin’s head.

Wow. Just wow.

Kotaku is far too remote to see the original article.

But don’t worry, we’ll deal with your gamer friends soon enough.

I wonder when this level of detail will merge with RealDolls. Hopefully, they won’t use the same model…

He looks like Harold Camping’s brother. Both had doom on their minds.
