DoubleTwist’s Android App Now Streams Over AirPlay

Android’s star media-playin’ player, DoubleTwist, has a new notch on its belt: it can stream music, videos and photos over AirPlay to the Apple TV and other compatible devices. Including Sonos! (It’s in beta, anyway.)

There is a catch, however. While the app itself is free, if you want to get all streamy-streamy with AirPlay devices, that’ll cost you $US5 extra via the AirSync add-on. Worth it? Let us know below. [Android Market via Engadget]

I bought airsync for its syncing of the air capabilities to doubletwist software on my desktop… this is just a massive bonus feature.

    Recommend it to anyone!!!

You can also try Aerodrom (http://funky-factory.blogspot.com).
    Aerodrom brings AirPlay to Windows.
It lets you stream audio, video, photos and slideshows from your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad wirelessly to your Windows PC
or notebook and even Windows Media Center using AirPlay / AirTunes technology.
    Works also with iOS 5.
