Cisco Threw Their Flip Cams In The Trash

We knew Cisco was killing off the now-obsolete Flip cam, but did they really have to dump them into the trash can, like a used condom or empty box of Lucky Charms? And why’d they toss the globe paperweight?

The mass grave pic was snapped by a Cisco employee who must have been troubled by the sight of so many gadgets. And I am too! Just because they’re outclassed doesn’t mean they’re useless. Couldn’t Cisco have put them to work as doorstops or something? [via Motherboard]

They could’ve given them to some charity as to be given away as presents in a hamper or something. Throwing them away is such a terrible waste.

An obscene waste. No wonder the tech industry still lags behind others in terms of environmental sensibilities.

What about schools like mine who are struggling to pay the toilet paper bill!! With 40+ students and a 21st C leadership – we want to try web2 tools too. I even posted ideas on how to use Flips in the classroom for world audience. Shame Cisco
