The imagineers at Disney World recently made the dangerous decision to fiddle with Haunted Mansion, one of the park’s finest attractions, updating the holographic hitchhiking ghosts that appear to join you in your car as you leave the ride for the 21st Century. But wait!, you say. Stop! It’s not broke! Don’t fix it!
I would normally agree. But you can sleep easy, Haunted Mansion fans, because the new high-tech ghosts are totally awesome! Inside the Magic has some video of the new system which uses mirrors and sensors to produce ghosts that can interact directly with passengers, popping riders’ heads off and swapping them with their own.
