After being teased for some time, wireless multi-room music extraordinaire Sonos has finally put out their Sonos Controller app for Android. Which means if you have a Sonos, you’ll be able to control your whole home setup with your Android phone (or tablet).
Specific to Android, you can use voice search to play songs and your phone’s volume rocker to pump up the volume.
Sonos has also added support for Airplay! Well, sorta. You have to hook up an Airport Express to your Sonos system to get the Airplay goodness but after that, you’ll be flipping audio from your iPhone to your home system. [Sonos]

I have Airplay running on a 20 year old stereo at home; I just connected it to the Airport with aux cables, labled it “Lounge Room” through Airport Utilities and it comes up in my Airplay list of speakers. Works like a charm.
