Pliers Lock Automatically When Gripped, For Easier Turning

CH Hanson’s pliers solve a problem most of us never knew existed. My life will be radically different, now I have the knowledge that these pliers can automatically lock in place when gripped, instead of having to fiddle with the adjustment knobs.

That’ll save time, and will mean your hand won’t get so smeared in grease. Amazing. They cost $US20 and are out now. [CH Hanson via Werd]

New hat. Watch the video – http://www.chhanson.com/automatic_video_locking.html

Very handy. It would be very useful for when I’m welding, so I’ll definitely buy some.

“Auto locking” is deceptive, they should call it “Auto adjusting” cause that’s what it actually is… confused much?

Exciting… Except that Sutton Tools has been selling these around Australia for at least four years.

My dad had these when I was a kid in the UK. Yes they’re brilliant, but no they’re nothing novel.
