Mobile Phone Jammers At The Royal Wedding

Tweeting and mobile phones are banned from the royal wedding. The Brits have arranged for “signal blocking technology” to be employed at the grounds of the Abbey due to concerns that guests might use their phones to convey information from within the ceremony – puzzling, considering the event will be broadcast worldwide on YouTube.

The blocking technology will be in effect from early Friday morning until the end of the ceremony. Along with tweeting, organisers also worried about more traditional technology-related problems, like shots of guests staring at their phones making it to television or some idiot’s mobile phone going off during the vows.
