Media Watch Shows Not All Plasmas Are Created Equal

Gizmodo AU

If anybody happened to catch Media Watch on the ABC last night, you would have enjoyed the introduction segment highlighting the differences in types of plasmas. Turns out the rising Aussie dollar may not hurt Australian plasma TV production after all…

In response to the rising Aussie dollar, Channel 7 news in Melbourne focussed on the fact that the exchange rate will hurt Australian exporters, like plasma producer CSL. With footage of plasma (and LCD) TVs, the report quotes CSL’s concerns about the exchange rate.

The ABC doesn’t allow video embeds, so you’ll have to click through to watch the clip for yourself… The transcript just doesn’t do it justice.

Or was it broadcast on April 1?
      That’s the only redeeming possibility!

Media Watch is close to being the best show on TV. It’s researchers are amazing at being able to identify out of place or reused/ripped off content. It consistently shows that there are many so called journalists who are only able to do a copy paste job and they never seem to bother to pick up the phone to verify the facts. Well done again ABC!

@Ken. People with an ounce of intellect usually refer to this as ‘image retention’ as it can occur on any type of screen including the old CRT. The joke is on you mate.
