How To Shoot Underwater Photos Using A Vintage Film Camera

Just because that awesomely retro film camera you bought on eBay or at the junk shop uses film that’s no longer in production (case in point: 126 film) doesn’t mean you can’t get any photos out of it. Through-the-viewfinder photography can be pretty effective when done well, by pointing a digital camera’s lens through the viewfinder of ye olde camera, and snapping away.

I hadn’t considered that it would be possible to do this underwater using a periscope, but thankfully Photojojo has come to the rescue with the following handy chart (click to enlarge). Instead of spending countless hours trawling eBay for long-gone expired 126 film for my Kodak Instamatic, I might just trawl eBay for a second identical camera, to dip into the water for some crazy crackly-looking snaps of bottom-feeders.
