Future Safari Will Prevent Ad Networks From Tracking You

If you find hyper-targeted web ads to be really, really creepy like I do, you’ll be happy to know that the OS X Lion version of Safari will follow the lead of Firefox by preventing online ad-networks from being able to track your browsing history. That means no more dating sites advertising your future soulmate who also loves Canon 5D firmware hacks. [WSJ via The Register]

what about protecting your identity on iOS? I don’t want these same ad companies knowing not only who i am, where I was, what I like, but also where i am!

    iSafari should have an adblocker.
