Come And Join In The Gizmodo Meetup For Beer, Trivia And Prizes

Gizmodo AU

We already know that Gizmodo has one of the best online communities in the Australian tech industry, but now we want to take it to the real world as well. Thanks to Microsoft and Windows Azure, we’re hosting trivia nights in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane next month, so the Gizmodian community can meet up in real life, share a drink and maybe even win some pretty cool prizes.

We’ll be supplying free food and drink to each event, as well as hosting a trivia night in each city, where you guys can create your own team of five or just be put in a team on the night. It’s going to be a great opportunity to both meet the team behind Giz, as well as other like-minded readers. We’ll be in Sydney on Tuesday May 3, Brisbane on Wednesday May 4, and Melbourne on Thursday May 5.

Space is limited though, so you’ll need to register for Meetup and RSVP via the link below. Due to limited venue capacity, it’s also going to be a case of first in best dressed, so make sure you RSVP early! We’ll see you there!

Ha! Can’t make everyone happy… Sign up to the Meetup group to show there’s a good Perth crew ready to turn up to an event there.

It’s a more expensive road trip, so if we know there’s people there ready to come out to an event we’ll be more likely to hit the west coast in future.

I’ll be at the Story Bridge Hotel flying the flag for Kotaku*

*I may not be flying an actual flag, depending on availability of material and if I can be bothered designing and creating a flag.

Not this time around. The events are in bars, so 18+ only.

it’s split across Lifehacker and Gizmodo. So there’s seats for about 50. Thus the meetup.com split in numbers!
