Yves Behar Handset For Those Who Hate Smartphones

Yves Behar thinks there some merit to a phone that does one simple thing well: make calls. So he tossed out the touchscreens and complex operating systems, teaming up with Aesir to produce a well-constructed, tactile dumbphone, the +YvesBehar phone.

Designing the UI and hardware himself, Behar got some of the best watch component makers in Switzerland and France to carry out the phone’s metalwork (which comes in either Gold or Stainless Steel). But goddamn man, does it really have to cost €7000 ($9715) when it comes out later this year?

I can think of at least one person who would buy that phone.

Finally someone realises that not everyone wants the ability to do a gazillion things with their mobile phone.

No more need be said. Also, this has been a real product for a lot longer.
