Richard Branson Would Love To Merge Virgin With Apple

Speaking to TechRadar about Steve Jobs, Sir Richard Branson commented that “everything he does is real class and if he wants to rename his company Virgin Apple I’d be happy to merge!” Could we see Virgin Apple Galactic taking off in the future? Doubtful, but I bet it’d look a whole heap like 2001: A Space Odyssey. [TechRadar]

No No No No No NO!

why have the 2 most egotistical people in the world controlling everything from PC’s to Space Flight???

To much integration, not enough seperation!

I don’t think it’d be that bad. Apple takes itself, and it’s products, a little too seriously. (multi-million dollar marketing campaign to announce a 50 year old band’s back catalogue making it into your music store?) Branson’s company offers a cheeky side that Apple could really use.

Plus if apple are entering the mobile payment system game, “Virgin Money” could make a good backbone for it.

That said, it’s not gonna happen.

Would look very much like 2001, but the monolith would be white!

No the monolith would be black, but there’d be a white one Coming Soon.

Strangely enough… I feel i’d be more tolerant of Apple products if Branson got involved – I currently own nothing Apple… but run my life with everything Virgin… interesting.

Merge the two most annoying and overrated companies, who have the two most annoying CEOs/spokesmen to boot, in the world? Utter disaster.
