Bing Gets In On Daily Deals Action

Groupon! LivingSocial! Bing? Well, sure. The search engine today announced that it’s adding daily deals to its desktop and mobile version, partnering with Dealmap to add 200,000 offers in 14,000 cities in the US. The mobile site gets a new “Deals” tab, while on the desktop, deals are presented as part of search results.

While you can’t specify the types of deals you’d like to receive – all deals are strictly based on location – you do get a huge variety of deals, since Dealmap is an aggregator of deals from the Groupons and LivingSocials of the world. [Bing]

I wonder if the Bing Deals platform will extend to Australia anytime soon. Doubt it as there are already established aggregators like http://www.buyii.com.au

I knew that Microsoft would have the deals business sooner or later but i dont think they would be able to fight against groupon deals…. i think groupon deals would be way ahead of Microsoft’s because groupon is real!!!! and ms would be cloning groupon!!!!

Nice one Neil and Hello Zhen. I don’t think there’s a daily deals article on the web that you haven’t commented on :)
