Vodafone Nexus S Pricing Revealed

Gizmodo AU

Although Vodafone are yet to officially announce pricing for the Nexus S, their website has the details for the phone hidden away, unveiled by eagle-eyed tipster Andrew.

The Gingerbread toting smartphone is going to be available on a $45 Infinite plan, including 1GB of data, plus unlimited national voice and video calls, SMS and MMS and social networking sites over 12 months. The phone will cost an additional $40 each month, with a minimum overall spend of $1,020.

Navigating around the page, there aren’t any other plans on offer – which probably won’t be the case when the phone actually goes on sale. But as a precursor to how much you might be paying for the latest Google Phone, this is straight from the horse’s mouth.

[Vodafone - Thanks Andrew!]

As much as I would love to buy Nexus S, my recent experience with Vodafone network and their constantly appalling customer service (on all levels make me wonder if I dare tying myself with them again for yet another 12 months…

    Good find though! :)

Youch, looks exxy for what is basically a glorified Galaxy S with NFS and 2.3. With dual-core phones around the corner, I’m not tipping this phone to be the next “iPhone beater” either.

Hmm can’t say I’ve ever seen a 12 month phone plan before! 24 months feels so long with the way tech evolves these days.

I’d like to see an outright purchase price from someone who has local support (unlike MobiCity, which are, well crap).

Hi, the pricing you have quoted in your story for the Nexus S has been taken from a dummy page and is not reflective of actual launch pricing. We plan to be able to share the launch pricing with you soon.

It’s nice to see Giz doing it’s research on stories like this. 1 minute of browsing on the Vodafone website can see this is a doctored page and isn’t real. Sorry guys, thats pretty poor.

Looks to be pretty standard pricing for Vodafone. The Desire HD when it was first out, was $40 on the 12month-$45 infinite cap and $15 on the 24 month-$45 infinite cap. Same as current Galaxy S pricepoint – http://shop.vodafone.com.au/mobile-details/samsung-galaxy

I would expect the Nexus S to be in the same ballpark.
