Nikon, Kodak Could Have Bought Photoshop

Back in 1988, Nikon turned down the opportunity to buy Photoshop, because Nikon Japan felt they weren't a software company. Kodak and others declined as well, before Adobe finally purchased them. [Nikonweb via Petapixel]

    Good job they didn't. Nikon's software seems to be pretty awful in my experience. As I was recently told, Nikon is a lens company first, a camera company second and trailing a very distant third - a software company.
