Man’s Gold Tooth Deflects Bullet

For those who believe that gold grills are purely decorative, I present to you the case of this unnamed man who was shot in the mouth by his brother, only to be saved by his expensive teeth.

The two began to struggle, and the gun went off, hitting the victim in the mouth, Contreras said. He ran to a friend’s house for help, and the paramedics who treated him told investigators that the small-caliber bullet apparently bounced off the victim’s gold tooth, leaving only some gum damage from the impact and a cut to his upper lip from the ricochet, Contreras said.

The defence rests, with a broad, glittering smile. [Uptown Messenger]

Thats bullshit. no way in hell could a gold tooth could stop a piece of lead traveling at those speeds at point blank

I agree. Even if gold was a hard enough metal to stop the lead buller, which it’s not, the force of the bullet impact would rip the tooth from its roots.

The only way this story could be for real is if the bullet barely glanced off the tooth

Agreed Chewy, the surface of the tooth is irrelevant, it could be made of X-men caliber Adamantium and it wouldn’t stop the tooth being knocked out and wedged in the guy’s spine.

Unless the tooth also had Adamantium bracing reaching into the skull to reinforce it?

I’m guessing that the angle of the bullet was VERY shallow and the gold surface is just an interesting, but largely irrelevant detail.

Come on guys, it’s obvious the bullet in question was made from cream cheese.

Nah the cream cheese bullet is just a myth, mythbusters did it on the same episode as the ice bullet.

anyone who has gold teeth for show needs a bullet in the head anyway. It’s a shame a deflection happened. His brother was probably trying to kill him because he was a douche.
