Kogan’s LivePrice Now Available In Australia

title=Last year when Kogan was expanding its business into the UK, they launched a little service called LivePrice, which let you purchase products before they actually went on sale for a lower price. It was UK only… until today.

Looking at the Liveprice page, there are some pretty significant savings to be had if you’re prepared to hand over your cash before the product is even made. As an example, a 55-inch, 100Hz LED backlit panel is selling for $1506 (at time of writing), compared to the $2229 it will cost when it officially launches.

It’s a good ide that helps Kogan raise the funds to pay for manufacturing products, and rewards customers loyal enough to the brand to risk buying a product before it’s made. It will be interesting to see just how successful the idea will be with customers, but I’m betting the savings are large enough to convince many people to splash out early.
