I hate crappy puns, but I still grin when someone calls Internet Explorer Internet Exploder. Download IE9 Release Candidate at BeautyOfTheWeb.com, which is another amusingly ironic URL. Or, you know, use Chrome or Firefox if you’re not under the eye of a totalitarian IT department.

Friday, February 11, 2011 at 9:59 AMQuality journalism here, folks. Only people who have no choice would use IE9, right?
Surely no one could actually prefer the fast loading, minimalist and incredible IE9 (especially considering it’s predecessors) over the crapfest that Firefox has become, or that Chrome is.

Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:37 AMI’m not a fan of MS but ie9 is the best thing they’ve done in ages. I’ve been using the beta for a while now and there are only very small issues. The main is that it has trouble handling a lot of modern content. I would expect that will be fixed with the release candidate.
It is actually close to the most user friendly browser of them all.
