Alright, anyone with an ounce of sense in their bones probably gave up on Hotmail long ago. But wait! A new feature that lets you create temporary accounts that are managed within existing inboxes? Sounds… convenient? [CNET]

    I really don’t get the hatred of hotmail. I’ve been using it for a decade at least, it delivers my mail and I can read it, that’s all I need. I also have a gmail and haven’t touched it more than twice in years

    Same as above for me. Except I had a “friend” create a gmail on my behalf some time last year. I saw no benefit from it, and deleted it.

    Nifty, I’ll admit, but almost the exact same thing can be done in Gmail with + modifiers to make separate addresses that automatically filter into specific folders.

    Hotmail is basically just playing catchup and trying to sell it as a unique feature.
