The Smallest Robot Floor-Washer? It’s Got To Be iRobot’s Scooba 230

There are plenty of robot vacuum cleaners on the market right now (one of which keeps mounting the foot of my curtains like a randy dog), but iRobot’s Scooba 230 can fit between bathroom furniture like nothing else.

The 230 is just 8.9cm tall, and 16.5cm in diameter, and while it might take longer mopping those floors, the ability to squeeze between toilet and wall, or mop around chair legs is worth the extra wait. It keeps dirty water and cleaning-solution separate, washing, then scrubbing, and then squeegee-drying floors dry. It then beeps and flashes when it’s done, kind of like the maid you gagged and stuck LEDs onto.

On sale sometime in spring. [iRobot via SlashGear]
