Stop Hogging Power Outlets! Use A Plug-Less USB Charger Instead

Every time I travel, I find myself staring longingly at unavailable power outlets – if only I could just slip in my USB-powered gadget for just a few moments! Thanks to the clever FlipIt! charger though, such woes are over.

As you can see in the image, FlipIt! simply slips between an outlet and another plug to allow for both gadgets to be charged. It will set you back $US15 and can be ordered now. [FlipIt!]

Unfortunately a no-go in Australia: not just because of the different plug style, but the mandate for all Australian plugs to have insulate pins per AS/NZS3112:2004

Ummm this won’t work on Australian plugs as by law the tops of the pins must be shielded.
