Police Storm In On Suspected Hydroponic Hothouse, Only Find Guinea Pigs)

British police thought they’d hit the jackpot when their chopper’s infrared-camera located a cannabis grow-house, but were surprised when all they found were a couple of Cavia porcellus by the names of Simon and Kenny reclining beside an electric heater.

I would’ve given anything to see the look on primary school learning mentor Pam Hardcastle’s face as the coppers huffed and puffed back to the station from her Yorkshire house, wouldn’t you? [The Sun via The Reg]

This is absolutely mental. How can you confuse a small heat signature from an electric heater with that of grow lamps from a cannabis farm.

Even if the heat signature was the same as a single lamp, how can you justify spending that much taxpayer money on going after such a thing?

Just another reason to add to the growing list of concerns I have about whether the police are ACTUALLY out to help the community at all.
