Nestled up the back of the NVIDIA stand at CES was the Kegputer, a Sandy Bridge powered gaming PC with liquid cooling stuffed inside a fully-functional beer keg. Yes, this is heaven in a PC.
The specs inside this build are impressive:
* 2 x EVGA GeForce GTX 580 Hydrocopper 2 graphics cards in 2-Way SLI
* ASUS P67 Sandybridge motherboard
* Intel i7 2600 3.4 Ghz Sandybridge CPU
* 8 gigs of DDR3 Crucial Ballistix at 1600 Mhz
* Crucial 160 Gig SSD
* Danger Den Extreme liquid cooling system
* Antec 1200 watt TruePower Quattro PSU
All that is stuffed inside a 59 litre keg, but what makes it a truly impressive mod is that they partnered with Sierra Nevada breweries to include a 9.5 litre keg with an integrated refrigeration system and an in-line CO2 pump. According to the guys from NVIDIA, you get about 40 beers from the Kegputer.
The product is currently in the process of being patented, so fingers crossed that we’ll see it as a purchasable PC in the near future. Because that would make this perfect…
