How Much Will Sony’s NGP Cost? Not $US599, Apparently

Let’s face it – we know the NGP is going to cost more than Nintendo’s 3DS, but just how much are we talking about? Sony’s President Shu Yoshida told Game Informer that “it’s not going to be $US599″. Just for interest’s sakes, when the first PSP was released in 2005, it cost $US249.

Meanwhile, there’ll be a cheaper Wi-Fi only model, for those who don’t need 3G connectivity. [Game Informer via CVG and Eurogamer via Kotaku]

haha, they’re kidding themselves if they think people will pay that. I like the PSP, but sony didn’t know how to support it…… this is totally a step in the wrong direction and that is why the DS stomped the crap out of it.

Get it right sony….. we don’t care how powerful it is, we just want it to be fun and cheap(ish)

I think sony will have to realise its mistakes made with its original psp and take a look around at other handheld consoles
but i think they’ve noticed this with the fact that they didnt make it even better to the ps3 they are aknowledging that they need power and performance with connectivity and inginuity
