Beem Is An Online PVR With Social Network Connections

title=Remember last year when we told you about Juno interactive, the IPTV company launched by former NineMSN and former Yahoo!7 media kingpins Jimmy Storrier and David Morrison? Well their project Juno has had a name change and gone into a limited Beta for Sydneysiders. Now called Beem, it’s an online DVR for FTA TV with an emphasis on social networking.

Essentially, the service lets you sign up with Facebook, and will then automatically recognise all the TV shows and movies in your profile and add them to your follow list. Based on that, it will create a custom program guide for the shows you enjoy watching, which you can then select to record. You can also find and follow other users and programs within the service.

If you live in Sydney and want to get access to the beta, head on over to the Beem site and sign up. We’ve managed to get access to the beta and have been playing around with it through the week. Stay tuned for a more thorough collection of thoughts on the service next week.
