It’s not easy being an Android. Sure, you’re cute enough as a logo, but it’s still the phones that get most of the attention. Until this little guy took matters into his own hands, and into outer space.
The mascot was accompanied on his trip 30,000m into the sky by a Nexus S, which collected various data with its GPS, accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer. Here’s how the launch went down:
Through the course of the 2.5-hour voyage, Googlers figured out that the Nexus S could function up to an altitude of about 18,000m and temperatures as low as -50C. Take heed, climbers of cold mountains!
