The Next Time You Move Out, Leave A Time Capsule Behind The Light Switch

Maybe I’m a sensitive fool, but I’ve always had a hard time moving out of a place I call home. That’s why I’m going to follow these instructions to leave a “time capsule” note behind light switches from now on.

Maybe someone will find it one day, maybe they won’t. But it gives me a chance to leave a hidden mark to remember all the good times I once had there. [MAKE]

    I’m doing this!
My parents are currently selling the house I grew up in, and my housemates and I plan to sell our house early next year.

Awesome! We found a note written on our bathroom wall when we renovated it in 2005, it was a note of the previous owner explaining that he renovated the bathroom in 1977 and other parts of the house. We added our own notes underneath it explaining what we had done so far as well. Makes you warm inside to think someone will find the joy you did another 30 years down the track!

The light switch certainly seems like it’s the easiest to find :D

    Cheers.

Coroners assessment of the cause of the house fire….paper stored in close proximity to an electrical switch.

It’s more fun to do it in hotel rooms.
