Beyonwiz Launches Australia’s First 2TB PVR

Gizmodo AU

If you can find any free to air HD TV content worth recording, you may be happy to know that Beyonwiz has just launched the country’s first 2TB PVR.

The whopping 2TB of internal storage in the DP-P2 2TB Special Edition means you can record either 800 hours of SD content or 350 hours worth of HD. The PVR features a line in input as well, allowing you to record PayTV to the hard drive as well.

The new PVR is selling for $799, which considering the recent Topfield price drop, makes this an absolute bargain.

    I can vouch for the build quality of Beyonwiz products. I’ve had the DP-P1 for almost two years without ever having a single crash or glitch.

    I hope they’ve updated the UI to HD text and graphics though, as it’s pretty chunky and dated looking on my model.

      whats the point of this when the idiotic govt won’t release any more bandwidth. there is barely any HD on TV. all the fucking HD TVs sold and nothing to watch. we are actually going backwards in this country

        That’s why you get Foxtel, heaps of HD content.

    I’ve had two Beyonwiz’s (P1 & P2) for two or three years now. both have a 250gb HD, and I have never even come close to filling them up with shows, and I’ve had a lot of shows backed up on them. Why you would need 2TB is beyond me. Unless you are a serious hoarder you’d never fill them up. Not to mention the serious pain it would cause if on the rare occasion it happens, you need to reformat the HD because it has accumulated some errors! :{
