A Vintage Bus Is Being Used In New York City

The NYC MTA has been using a vintage, 1950′s era bus (and train) on some select routes. No, it’s not because the budget deficit is that bad, instead it’s a neat throwback gesture by the MTA for the holiday season.

Here’s a video of the retro train in action:

The fare costs the same as a modern day bus or train (no 50-year discount here!) and I think it’s a cute little gesture to remind us of how things got done before.
