Twitter And Ping Now Sharing A Bed

Gizmodo AU

When Apple launched Ping earlier this year, the internet bemoaned the lack of Twitter and Facebook integration in the music social networking service. It seems they’ve kinda fixed half of that now…

Twitter has worked with Apple to integrate Ping with the microblogging site in a couple of ways. Firstly, you can now add a Twitter account to your Ping Profile to discover tweeters you follow who also use Ping. Secondly, you can share music and access iTunes pages of artists directly from within Twitter’s web portal as seen in the video above.

Does this make Ping more appealing?

Not at all. Ping sucks. Love Apple but hate Ping.

Every time I try Ping I leave it all disappointed.

Totally pointless unless you’re into very mainstream music – even slightly on the edge of mainstream it struggles with, hate to imagine what it’d be like for people with no mainstream tastes whatsoever.
