After years of wrangling with Apple, Paul McCartney, Ring Starr, and John Lennon and George Harrison’s families have agreed to sell The Beatles’ back catalogue on iTunes.
It’s the Beatles Box Set which is the big one. With 256 songs, documentaries and other videos (including their first-ever US concert), it costs $259 in the Australia iTunes Store, which must be the priciest purchase on iTunes. Other albums, including Help!, Abbey Road and my favourite the Magical Mystery Tour, cost $20.99, with the songs available for individual purchase at $2.19.
It’s no Yellow Submarine iPod, but it’s official—The Beatles (are) For Sale. [iTunes]

Too right, this means nothing to me.
I’ve had Beatles in iTunes for years(CD Rip).

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 8:45 AMOne quick look at Amazon and the physical box set is US$129. I imagine you could find it cheaper elsewhere.
Even with shipping it’s a big saving for a far better bitrate!

Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 11:02 AMDear Apple, every Beatles track I’ve ever wanted as been ripped. And those I couldn’t rip were obtained via the wonders of P2P. Too little, too late.
PS: Yoko, that Neckline does not work.
